Four years from now, we won't be messing with discs, as much.

Most Disc based media systems will go the way of the last media based recorded system in another four years. It will do this because then there will be enough ease of access to enough volumes of information. The infrastructure takes a little time to be hammered out. First microprocessors must advance to be smaller, their power more efficient, and their cost much lower. Then information will just start flying at us. Right now we need to have it contained in discs and then just played. We don't have full enough access to information to really acheive the level of control over reality that we have today. Today we're mostly clueless things, walking around, trying to remember their keys. But if we were connected to any piece of information, any media, at any time, well then you got yourself a stew on..Life Begins..
